Truck Accident Victim Awarded 30 Times Insurance Company Offer

December 11, 2010 by Tony Caggiano

Recently, our Orlando law firm tried another motor vehicle accident case. As Orlando car accident lawyers we are pleased to share that our jury awarded more than 30 times what Nationwide Insurance offered to settle our client's injury claims. Requested to try this case because of his expertise in car and truck accident claims, Tony Caggiano again successfully took on an insurance giant. Yet, this case sadly illustrates how car and truck insurance companies continue to try to "low ball" those injured in accidents. Nationwide Insurance, like Allstate, State Farm and Progressive Insurance try to pay as little as possible on accident cases.

Insurance companies also try to delay having to pay someone who is injured for as long as possible. These huge corporations can hire legions of lawyers who may try to delay the trial for as long as possible to frustrate those injured and to force them to accept an inadequate amount of compensation. As Orlando Injury Lawyers, we have a long track record of getting injury claims settled fairly or tried successfully. We believe that is what innocent, hardworking folks deserve - nothing less. Unfortunately, too many individuals involved in car and truck accidents fall victim to insurance company tactics. These individuals make the mistake of "trusting" the insurance company or hiring a lawyer who had no business handling their important car accident case.

For these reasons, we continue to make available the Florida car accident book, Seeking Justice: An Insider's Guide for the Injured. When I wrote this book, I hoped it would help people involved in a car accident protect themselves from insurance company adjusters. I also wanted to provide a solid method for injured people to find the right lawyer. From the reviews we have received, it has done just that. For anyone injured in a Florida car accident, a Free copy of this book can be a great place to start.

Dishonest Orlando Car Accident Lawyer Recommends Low Settlement to Clients

December 3, 2010 by Tony Caggiano

Unfortunately, car accident lawyers continue to make empty promises and misleading statements which deceive innocent Orlando car accident victims. How terrible for someone to get injured in a car accident and then be taken advantage of by his or her lawyer. As Orlando car accident lawyers, we have seen too many people hire the "wrong" lawyer. These unsuspecting accident victims face "unreturned telephone calls, getting pawned off to paralegals and being told to accept only a fraction of what their car accident claim is worth." Sadly, a lawyer can pretend to be "aggressive, a trial professional or someone who will get you the money you deserve." The truth is any lawyer can make those empty claims. Until stronger lawyer regulations are passed, those injured in car or truck accidents will continue to be deceived and tricked into hiring lawyers who have no business handling their important case.

As this writing goes to publication, there are innocent folks being offered only a fraction of what their car accident claim is worth. Many of these people have lawyers who will recommend accepting an inadequate offer rather than go to trial. Why? Fear or lack of trial experience or both. If you have a car accident case and your lawyer tells you to settle ask your lawyer, "When did you last try a car accident case?" If it has been within the last year or so, ask "What were the results?" Find out specifically about the number of cases your lawyer has tried and the results. Do NOT stay with a lawyer who has no real trial record or a lawyer who is a "coward." If your car accident case should be tried, then find a trial lawyer who has the competence, skill and desire to try your case for you. You deserve nothing less.

To make your job finding the right lawyer easier, we continue to make available our book, Seeking Justice: An Insider’s Guide for the Injured. While we limit the number of cases we accept, we can provide a free copy of this valuable book to anyone injured in car accidents. It provides a solid method for choosing the right lawyer; and, includes the questions everyone should ask before hiring a lawyer. Decent, honest people seeking to win their car accident case deserve a lawyer that is prepared to Go to War!
